Mode of action

According to ayurvedic principles toxins and vitiated doshas, which cause diseases can be expelled using internal and external oleation and sweating. Removal of these toxins through the nearest body opening cleanses the body and relieves ailments also. But in some diseases, these methods of cleaning will not be so, and in such cases purification of blood method can be used. In ayurveda, in different methods of bloodletting, the quantity of blood removed should be minimized so that it doesn’t disturb the normal functioning of the body and at the same time body is also cleaned.
